Of course Loki hated going without, that was part of the reason for this whole rule-the-world plan. Not that Clint knew that part of it, of course.

There was a twitch of expression at the statement, one that before all of this would have been a wry smile leading to an out-and-out grin. The 'Sure you aren't.' was almost audible, but what he actually said was: "And I'm good at improvising."

His fingers had finally met the edge of the loose tunic that Loki wore to bed -when he wore anything at all- and he toyed with the fabric between his fingertips for a moment before rolling his weight forward a little so that his fingers could continue their trek, slipping beneath the fabric a moment later, finally trailing along the jut of Loki's hip, which was when his other hand started a similar movement on the other side.

Clint was quiet for the time being, still trying to get any sort of read on what Loki might want. The noise of approval was helpful, but only a little, there was still so much that could go wrong, especially if he ended up doing something that Loki didn't like, even by accident.

Which was why, fingers curling and uncurling against Loki's hips, kneading there for the time being, he asked: "Hands or mouth?" he'd been reprimanded for trying one when Loki had wanted the other, or both, or for using both when Loki had only wanted one, and at a time when he was already uncertain, he wanted things to be as clear as possible.
